-
Do users know how to set the location of their item?
All users were easily able to understand how to update the location of their item. However, some users thought it would be nice if there was also a feature to not only request an item, but to send an item as well.
-
Do users know how to request a delivery?
Users also found it easy to understand how to request the delivery of an item. They liked that their was an option to add specific instructions for the courier and that they could track the courier’s location.
-
Do users know where to find their security confirmation code?
Most users like the concept of receiving a text message with their confirmation security code, but some users thought it would be better to receive the code in the app as well as multiple sources such as email just in case.

What I Learned
Talk to Developers Early
Listening to and collaborating with developers early on in the design process helped me better understand what the technical restraints and the project scope were so that I didn’t waste time.
Design Incrementally
This being one of the first design projects where I began applying my UX knowledge and skills, I learned in real time how much easier it is to design in small increments instead of jumping straight into the prototyping and visual design.
What I Would Do Differently
More User Research
The founders of this application felt strongly about the vision of this application, and they were not convinced that user research was necessary in order to create an MVP. In hindsight, I should’ve pushed harder to conduct user interviews and surveys before designing to make sure we were designing the right product.
More Market Research
Along with conducting more user research, I think it would have been valuable to conduct more extensive market research— particularly competitive analysis in order to find and create a better niche within the market.
